Hi, I’m Helen.
Welcome to Sunflower Health and Wellbeing. I specialise in helping people who have experienced trauma. I understand the resulting feelings of blame, anger, depression, anxiety shame, guilt and of being used. These feelings can hinder the way we see ourselves, the way we form relationships and negatively impact our growth. I spent many years trying different techniques to heal from my own trauma and have found that Reiki, Counselling and Meditation have been the most effective, so I became a Reiki practitioner to help others recover.
My approach is unique. As I was on my healing journey, I found that the combination of Meditation, Reiki and Counselling delivered the best results. Meditation is a form of mind-body complementary medicine. It can be used to produce a deep state of relaxation and a peaceful mind, I found Meditation is a great way to focus my attention on areas of my life that needed healing. Once in a meditative state, I allowed the energy of Reiki to flow through my body and help my body to heal my own trauma. Reiki can also be used to relax the body. It comes from the Japanese words, 'Rei' meaning 'universal' and 'Ki' meaning 'life energy', therefore 'universal life energy'.
Once the Reiki energy has been transmitted, the talking process of Counselling integrates the full healing. Using this process, I am now happier in myself, and I have found peace through the understanding of my emotions.
